Chronology of cameras Zeiss Ikon

__________

The Box-Tengor was a Zeiss Ikon bestseller. It was manufactured in multiple variations, for several decades, from the late 1920s to the 1950s. Even World War II did not get the better of it.

The Box-Tengor is a metal construction, robust, almost indestructible, and easy to use. The shape is very cubic, with a key for winding the film, located at the bottom of the rear part for the first models, then a dial positioned higher on the more recent models. The front side was first without decoration, then with a metallic hexagonal shape, and finally, with more round decorations. Some models have no settings, while others offer the choice of aperture, speed, focus. Others have a built-in accessory lens. Of course, all of these characteristics can be combined ... or not.

Most models have a factory code, embossed in the imitation leather, on the lower back,

The Box-Tengor (54) was manufactured from 1932 to 1943. Its front face is decorated with the hexagonal shape, which places it in the second wave of models. It is a model with adjustment of the aperture between f / 11 and f / 22 (bottom) and adjustment of the distance in stages, thanks to the internal accessory lens. It uses 120 film, but the negatives are 4.5 x 6 cm. There is a safety lock against unintentional shutter releases.
It does not have a factory code on the lower back
